In person, period-based instructional support has resumed at Buena Vista High School. BVHS Hybrid Quarter 4 schedule is currently in use. All students in group A will report to the campus on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 to 11:40 a.m. for their in-person support and will engage in all classes via CANVAS on Thursdays and Fridays for attendance credit. Students in group B will attend in-person on Thursdays and Fridays, also from 8:00 to 11:40 a.m. and will engage in all classes via CANVAS on Thursdays and Fridays for attendance credit. All students must engage with at least one teacher during the zoom support period each Wednesday from 10-12:00 a.m. Each afternoon, Distance Learning Only students will participate in virtual instruction by following their personal class schedules and logging into each period teacher's scheduled zooms between 1:00 and 3:00. If a distance learning student is enrolled in zero period CTEC courses, they will zoom at 8:00 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. The afternoon zoom schedule includes Periods 1 & 2 on Mondays, 3rd period on Tuesdays with academic support time available on Tuesday afternoons, periods 4 and 5 on Thursdays and Mentoring/OnlineSupport on Fridays. All four days, support is available by arrangement with specific teachers from 12:15-1:00 p.m. Every other Friday, mentoring groups will be held virtually with the students' assigned mentors at 1:05. Mentors will notify mentees via email in advance of these meetings.
