Schools, colleges, and universities around the world are currently responding to a cybersecurity incident involving Canvas, the online platform students use for assignments and coursework.
Taft Union High School District is closely monitoring the situation and working with Canvas to determine whether any student or staff data has been compromised. At this time, there is no confirmed impact specific to our district.
Canvas has identified and blocked the unauthorized access point. Since our login systems are independently managed and remain secure, we are restoring access to the existing information on Canvas. As a precaution, we will not sync any new data until we have full confirmation that it is safe to do so.
