Good afternoon, Taft Family!

The safety of our students, staff, families, and community members is a top priority at Taft Union High School District. Creating and maintaining The Best of Places to Learn, Work and Play includes providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who attends our athletic events and activities.
Our safety team regularly reviews emergency plans, event procedures, and safety protocols. In consultation with local law enforcement and other public safety partners, Taft Union High School District is implementing enhanced safety measures at stadium events and athletic contests:
    • Increased security and law enforcement personnel on site
    • All high school students must have a valid school-issued ID
    • Students not enrolled in high school must be accompanied and supervised by an adult
    • Weapons or objects used as weapons are prohibited
    • No backpacks or large bags are allowed inside the venue
    • All bags are subject to search; clear bags are recommended
    • Guests are encouraged to arrive early and expect possible delays due to enhanced security measures
    • School dress codes and event expectations will be enforced; face coverings that conceal a person’s identity are not permitted
    • Spectators must remain in designated seating and other identified spectator areas
    • CIF behavioral guidelines and event expectations will be strictly enforced
    • Anyone who does not follow event expectations may be removed and restricted from attending future events
    • No re-entry is permitted. Guests who leave the stadium or event venue will not be allowed to return
Taft Union High School District remains committed to continuously reviewing and improving our safety practices. Additional measures may be implemented as circumstances, events, and ongoing safety assessments warrant.
We appreciate the continued partnership and support of our students, staff, families, and community. Maintaining a safe environment requires all of us working together and looking out for one another.
